BUT! then it all changed....

People thought that the stitching idea and the hand holding was too much connecting, double connecting if you get me...
So I had to think aboot different imagery to use with stitching.....
so I took a trip to the HABERDASHERIE section of John Lewis to stock up on lots of orange thread, and ribbon and wool....
Some times the stitching once its scanned in, doesnt look like stitching any more so I gota really make it look like stitching...
So then i thought about connecting the world together, by using imagery such as famous buildings to represent different countries/places.... i also experimented with people ......

so all this stitching had lead me to look at connecting things, bringing people together, soooooo
I started thinking about hands, and people holding hands, as a personal way of connecting people......

Through all this paper cutting I started doing what Iike doing best..... collage!
I started experimenting with arrows and cityscapes.........

Then experimented with arrows, and different materials, inks and paints.....

Which led me onto stitching into paper.... and making an orange flower....

Using collage I started creating some pretty optimistic imagery, Im thinking of creating different scenery and then putting a stream of orange arrows through it - well thats how im thinking so far...

Basically.... PATTERN, ORANGE, ARROWS, STITCH, COLLAGE...

or maybe as the arrows move (they dont really move) but as they create a pathway pretty patterns, decorative imagery is revealed......
