changing my idea a bit.....

So i wasnt too pleased with my story board so i kept on working,
using different imagery more linked with music, eg speakers, microphones, singers, guitars etc........
I like the idea of using organic growing shapes, and speakers in disguise as flowers! which move to a beat of music.
I went to speak to Luke on Tuesday about my idea coz i wasnt sure where to go, and he told me to get stuck in with after effects, and play around with my imagery and sound....
I just downloaded a 30 day trial of after effects and it took like 2 hours, im gona go to bed and watch Shameless now, and leave the complicated world of after effects for tomorow!

Storyboard....

So i decided to use collage growing across brown paper and into the logo/ to say MTV...
im not too happy with it though, i feel i need to develop it alot more .....

I liie the idea of illustration/collage growing out of the logo.........
or maybe using a really still dull quiet scene, and illustrations creep into the image brightening it up, ie mtv livens things up!

Funfairs and ice-cream vans.....

Another idea I had was to use an ice-cream van, or something to do with a fun fair , really bright sweet imagery, like David Lachapelles work,
mabye horses jumping off a carosel (is that what they're called!? merry go-rounds??)
or ice cream vans playing greensleeves, with strawberry suace spelling out mtv on ice-creams, or hotdogs with mtv written on then with ketchup.......

Graffiti

This was the first idea i thought of when we were given the brief....
my idea was to film someone doing a large piece on a wall sayng mtv and speed it up. but graffiti has kinda been used before but i can imagine that if it was filmed really well it could look cool and mtv-ish....

MTV!!!!!

Sounds like a really fun brief! Really looking forward to getting stuck in!
Its a moving image project and im not too good with technical things, but by working in groups it should be ok!
So ive been watching alot of MTV, didnt realise how many channels they had!
Bass, Dance, Flux, VH1, Hits etc etc ....

Ive been thinking about the brief and we could do absolutly anything! Some of the previous stuff, and the ones used today are so random and weird and wonderful!!!!
Our audience is ourselves, so it should be fun!

First ideas that popped into my head whilst having the briefing were.....
graffiti, stencils, dancing feet, flick books ????
